Today’s episode is a very personal one. I’m talking about the loss of my beautiful, loyal dog, Mowgli.

If you’ve ever loved a dog, you’ll know they’re never just a dog. They’re family. They’re constant companions. They’re there in the quiet moments, the joyful ones, the hard days — always present, always loving, always loyal.

Losing Mowgli  brought deep grief… but also deep gratitude. Gratitude for the years of unconditional love. For the walks, the waggy tail, the comfort, the way he just was — never worrying about yesterday, never stressing about tomorrow.

Dogs have this incredible way of living fully in the moment. They forgive quickly. They love completely. They greet each day with enthusiasm. And it’s made me reflect on how much happier we might be if we were just a wee bit more dog.

So today, I’m sharing my thoughts on grief, on gratitude, and on the powerful lessons our dogs teach us about loyalty, love, and happiness.

This one’s for Mowgli — and for anyone who has ever loved and lost a four-legged best friend.
